This section addresses common issues you might encounter with Samna Area and provides troubleshooting steps to resolve them.

Device Claims to be Online/Offline

This stage checks if Samna has connection to something. That could be only the local network.

Internet connection verified/unverified

This stage checks if the device can reach the internet.

Samna is reachable/unreachable

This stage verifies that Samna online can be reached. If you have troubles here, it’s usually the firewall blocking 443 at *.samna.io.
At a minimum, you should exempt 443 and on your IoT network.
Time error on the device - Ensure that *.ntp.pool.org is exempted on your IoT network.

Device can connect

If you’ve reached this stage, all is fine and you will meet the Samna QR-code generator!

Other errors

Time is not correct:
Samna Meet uses NTP-pool by default. You can change this in the Android settings, or exempt 443 NTP *.pool.ntp.org
Tablet Not Connecting to Wi-Fi:
Check that the Wi-Fi network is available and the tablet is within range.
Ensure you're entering the correct Wi-Fi password.
Restart the tablet and try connecting again.
If using PoE, ensure the network switch is PoE-enabled and supplying power.
If the issue persists, contact Samna support for assistance.
Screen Unresponsive or Frozen:
Try restarting the tablet by holding down the power button.
If the issue persists after restarting, contact Samna support.
Bookings Not Syncing with Calendar:
Verify that the correct room is connected in the Samna Portal settings.
Check for any errors in the integration logs in the Samna Portal.
Ensure that the calendar events meet the Samna Meet booking criteria (e.g., correct meeting room name, valid time).
Tablet Displaying Incorrect Information:
Verify that the correct meeting room is associated with the tablet in the Samna Portal.
Refresh the Samna Meet app on the tablet.
If the issue persists, contact Samna support.
LED Lights Not Functioning:
Check the LED light settings in the theme customization section of the Samna Portal.
Ensure the LED lights are securely connected to the tablet.
If the issue persists, contact Samna support.
