User Roles and Permissions

Samna Meet employs a Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) system to manage user permissions, ensuring that individuals have the appropriate level of access based on their responsibilities within your organization.
Available Roles:
Admin:
Full control over all Samna Meet settings and features.
Can add, edit, and delete meeting rooms.
Can manage users and assign roles.
Can configure integrations with external systems.
Can view usage reports and analytics.
User:
Can view meeting room availability and details.
Can book meetings and manage their own bookings.
Can view upcoming bookings on the tablet.
Custom Roles (Optional):
In addition to the standard Admin and User roles, you can create custom roles with specific permissions tailored to your organization's needs. For example:
Receptionist: Can book meetings on behalf of others.
IT Support: Can access troubleshooting tools and restart devices.
Department Manager: Can view usage reports for their department.
Assigning Roles:
Access Samna Portal: Log in to the Samna Portal as an Admin user.
User Management: Navigate to the "Users" section.
Add/Edit User:
If adding a new user, enter their name and email address.
If editing an existing user, select them from the list.
Assign Role: Choose the appropriate role for the user from the dropdown menu.
Save Changes: Click "Save" to apply the changes.
Granular Permissions:
Samna Meet offers granular permissions that allow you to fine-tune access control even further. For example, you can grant a user permission to book meetings in specific rooms or during certain hours.
Important Considerations:
Carefully assess the responsibilities of each user and assign roles accordingly to ensure data security and prevent unauthorized access.
Regularly review and update user roles as needed to reflect changes in job responsibilities or organizational structure.
By leveraging Samna Meet's RBAC capabilities, you can maintain a secure and efficient meeting room booking system tailored to your organization's unique requirements.
